Lure of the Temptress is the first game by Revolution Software, the studio later known for Beneath a Steel Sky and Broken Sword. It was released in 1992 and tells the story of Diermot, a peasant who wakes up in a dungeon after the sorceress Selena and her Skorl warriors take over the town of Turnvale.

The game introduced Revolution's Virtual Theatre system: the people of Turnvale walk around, talk and work on their own, and you can give commands to other characters to help you. Revolution released the game as freeware in 2007 together with ScummVM, which runs it here in your browser.

How to play

Watch the intro or press Esc to skip it.

Click a place to walk there.

Click a person or an object to open the action menu and choose what to do.

Talk to the people of Turnvale and ask them for help to escape and stop Selena.

Controls

Left click: walk, choose an action

Right click: action menu

F5: save game, F7: load game

F9: restart the game

Esc: close a menu

Touch screen: tap to click, hold to right-click

Tips

Characters move around town: if someone is missing, come back later.

Save with F5 before fights and risky choices; saved games stay in this browser.
