Beneath a Steel Sky is a science fiction adventure by Revolution Software, first released in 1994. You are Robert Foster, an outsider who grew up in the wasteland and is taken against his will to Union City, a huge city where ordinary people live and work in towering blocks while the rich live underground. Together with Joey, a robot whose personality lives on a circuit board, Foster has to find out why he was brought there.

The game's comic-book style comes from Dave Gibbons, the artist of Watchmen, and the story mixes a dark future with dry humour. In 2003 Revolution released the game as freeware together with ScummVM, the engine that runs it here in your browser.
