About Bounce Back
Bounce Back is a top-down action game by Frank Force that took second place in js13kGames 2019. Armed with a boomerang, you fight your way through ten levels full of monsters, dodge their attacks with a quick dash and spend your coins on items that help you survive.
The game packs retro pixel graphics, a shop, several kinds of boomerangs and a speed run mode into just 13 kilobytes, and it rewards tight control: throw, catch and keep moving.
How to play
- Move with W A S D and aim with the mouse.
- Click to throw the boomerang; catch it when it flies back.
- Press Space to dash away from enemies.
- Collect coins, buy items and clear all ten levels.
Controls
- Touch screen: joystick bottom left, tap the screen = aim and throw, A = dash
- W A S D: move
- Mouse: aim
- Click: throw the boomerang
- Space: dash
Tips
- Dashing protects you from damage.
- You do not lose your money when you die.
- The yellow boomerang can grab pickups and the blue one does double damage.
- Win the game to unlock the speed run mode.
