Nightclub Showdown is a fast turn-based action game by Sébastien Bénard, the designer of Dead Cells, made for the Ludum Dare 41 game jam. You play a gunman in a neon-lit nightclub, and every click is one order: shoot, move, take cover or reload, while the enemies answer in turn.
The trick is choosing the right action: a head shot is slow but powerful, a body shot is quick, and crates or even the enemies themselves can serve as cover. The game placed 22nd for fun among thousands of entries at Ludum Dare 41, and one run takes only a few minutes.
How to play
- Click an enemy's head for a slow, powerful head shot.
- Click an enemy's body for a quick shot.
- Click the floor to move, a crate to take cover, or an enemy next to you to grab him.
- Click your hero to reload or wait, and clear every wave of enemies.
Controls
- Touch screen: tap = click, hold = right click
- Mouse: every action (shoot, move, take cover, grab, reload)
- R: reload
- T: restart
- M: music on or off
Tips
- Use quick body shots when an enemy is about to fire; save head shots for when you have time.
- Take cover before you reload.
- A grabbed enemy shields you from his friends' bullets.
