About xx142-b2.exe

xx142-b2.exe is a 3D puzzle game by Ben Clark and Salvatore Previti, made for the js13kGames 2019 competition. It is the year 2413, humanity is enslaved by an alien race, and you are an AI virus sent into the alien network to shut down its power generators and weapon systems.

The catch: the alien antivirus deletes you after 13 seconds. But a file is never really deleted, so every earlier attempt replays as a copy of you. Use those copies to hold switches and open doors, and plan each 13-second run to break through to the main memory core.

How to play

Press a key to skip the intro.

Move with W A S D or the arrow keys.

Reach switches and doors before the 13 seconds run out.

Use the copies of your earlier attempts to hold switches while you move on.

Touch screen: joystick on the left, ↺ = end this attempt

W A S D or arrow keys: move

Backspace: end this attempt early

Tips

Plan each run: your copy will repeat exactly what you do.

End a run with Backspace when you only need a copy in place.
