Island Not Found is a 3D exploration adventure by Ben Clark and Salvatore Previti, made for the js13kGames 2020 competition in the spirit of Myst. You wake up in a prison on a mysterious island and must find a way out, then explore the island and solve its puzzles.

The whole island is drawn with ray marching, a rendering technique rarely used in games, which gives it soft shapes, water and light. Explore at your own pace, use your flashlight in dark places and save your game when you need a break. It needs a reasonably recent computer with WebGL 2.

How to play

Choose New Game (or Load Game to continue).

Look around with the mouse and walk with W A S D or the arrow keys.

Interact with objects using E or Space.

Explore the island and solve its puzzles to find the way forward.

Controls

Touch screen: joystick bottom left, drag on the right = look, A = interact, B = flashlight, X = run, ☰ = menu

Mouse: look around

W A S D (Z Q S D) or arrow keys: move; Shift: run

E or Space: interact

F: flashlight

Esc or M: menu

Tips

Look closely at the places you visit: items and clues are easy to miss.

Use Save Game in the menu; it is stored in this browser.

Turn on High quality in the menu only on a fast computer.
