About Zero Volt X
Zero Volt X is a vertical shoot 'em up by Sébastien Bénard (deepnight), the designer of Dead Cells, made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 39 on the theme "Running out of power". Your ship's generator is weak, so you decide where its power goes: shield regeneration, the main gun or homing missiles.
Waves of enemies fill the screen with bullets, and switching power at the right moment is the key to survival. In the Ludum Dare 39 jam it placed sixth overall and fourth for graphics. A kid mode lets younger players fly without dying.
How to play
- Move the ship with the arrow keys and dodge the bullets.
- Press W, A or D to send power to the gun, the shield or the missiles.
- Press S to reset all systems.
- Survive the waves; R returns you to the last checkpoint.
