About Seedling

Seedling is a top-down action adventure by Connor Ullmann, originally released as a Flash game. You are a seedling born from the wind, sent out to learn of good and evil: explore a forest world, find the dungeons and defeat the bosses waiting at their ends.

Each dungeon hides new weapons and items such as swords, a shield, a wand and a conch, and they open up new paths in the world. The game was made by one developer in a few months, with music and sounds by Rekcahdam, and it rewards players who like to explore and solve small puzzles between fights.

How to play

Press any key on the title screen; the arrows switch to the controls and credits pages.

Walk with the arrow keys and press X to attack, talk and interact.

Explore the world to find the dungeons and the items hidden in them.

Use your second item with C, manage items with V or I and defeat each dungeon's boss.

Controls

Touch screen: joystick on the left, A = action, B = secondary item, X = inventory, ☰ = menu; tap the game to start

Arrow keys: move

X: action (attack, talk, interact)

C: secondary item

V or I: inventory

Esc: menu

R: restart the game

M: mute

Tips

Come back to places you could not reach before: new items open new paths.

Look around each room of a dungeon before moving on.

R restarts the whole game, so press it only if you want to start over.

Your progress is saved in this browser.
