About Fort Loop
Fort Loop is a puzzle platformer by Sébastien Bénard, the designer of Dead Cells, made in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam on the theme "Stuck in a loop". Every time the torches turn off, the whole castle resets and goes back in time, and everything returns to its original place except you.
That is the key to every level: whatever you carry survives the reset, so you can bring an item from one loop into the next and open a path that was closed before. The levels are short and clever, with pixel art and gamepad support.
How to play
- Move with the arrow keys and jump with Up.
- Pick up items and throw them with Space.
- Press Enter to turn the torches off and reset the castle; you keep what you carry.
- Use the reset to bring the right item to the right place and reach the next level.
Controls
- Touch screen: joystick on the left, A = jump, B = throw, X = torches off, ↺ = restart
- Arrow keys (or W A S D / Z Q S D): move
- Up: jump
- Space (or F, E): throw an item
- Enter (or X, Tab): turn the torches off
- R: restart the level
- Gamepad: supported
Tips
- Before resetting, think about which item you need in the next loop.
- If a level gets stuck, R restarts it.
- Watch where things go back after a reset: their starting places are part of the puzzle.
