Breakout 71 is a free, open-source take on the classic brick breaker by Renan Le Caro. Bounce the ball into the bricks and catch the coins that pop out of every broken brick: coins are your score, and a run lasts seven levels.
After each level you pick one upgrade from a large pool, so every run plays differently. Build combos, bend the ball's path and stack upgrades that work well together. The game runs well on phones held upright as well as on a computer.
How to play
- Click or tap to launch the ball.
- Move the paddle to bounce the ball back into the bricks.
- Catch the coins from broken bricks with the paddle.
- Pick an upgrade after each level and score as many coins as you can in seven levels.
Controls
- Mouse / touch: move the paddle
- Click or tap: launch the ball
- Where the ball hits the paddle changes its angle
Tips
- Coins are the score: chasing them is as important as breaking bricks.
- Aim with the edges of the paddle to send the ball where you want it.
- Read each upgrade before picking it; combinations make the difference.
- Progress and settings are saved in this browser.
