About Paint Match
Paint Match is a free, open-source colour mixing puzzle by Ombosoft. Each level shows a target colour, such as yellow, chocolate or royal blue, and a wheel of paint colours. Tap a colour to add a drop of it to your mix and try to recreate the target as precisely as you can.
A bar shows how close your mix is, and a perfect match earns three stars. The levels start easy and get harder as you go, so you slowly build up a feel for colour theory. It plays well on a phone and on a computer.
How to play
- Look at the target colour in the middle.
- Tap colours on the wheel to add drops of paint.
- Watch the bar at the top: 100 means a perfect match.
- Earn three stars and move on to the next level.
Controls
- Mouse / touch: tap a colour on the wheel to add a drop
- Undo and reset buttons at the top
- Levels button (top left): choose any unlocked level
Tips
- Start with the main colour, then add small amounts of the others.
- White makes a colour lighter, black makes it darker.
- If you overshoot, undo the last drop instead of starting over.
- Progress is saved in this browser.
