About Merge Getaway
Merge Getaway is a free, open-source 3D driving game by Artsiom Trubchyk, made in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 50 game jam. The police have started chasing you, and sooner or later every criminal gets caught. Steer your car through the traffic and merge with cars of the same colour to speed up and stay ahead.
Hit a car of another colour and you lose speed, so read the traffic and pick your lane. The game has bright low-poly graphics and plays with two keys on a computer or with taps on a phone.
How to play
- Press A or D (or tap a side of the screen) to start.
- Steer left and right through the traffic.
- Drive into cars of your own colour to merge and speed up.
- Avoid cars of other colours and stay ahead of the police.
Controls
- A / D or arrow keys: steer left and right
- Touch: tap the left or right side of the screen
- M: music on/off, R: restart
Tips
- Look ahead and line up with the next car of your colour.
- Small corrections are safer than big swerves.
